The manufacturing programme at PRECHEZA a.s. is orientated primarily towards the production of inorganic pigments and chemicals, all of which result from intermediate products formed during the main production process. The most important PRECHEZA a.s. product is PRETIOX® titanium dioxide, with 22 varieties of this pigment in current manufacture. Our own titanium dioxide production technology may be regarded as the “Czech family silver”, what with this pigment being developed in our republic, (the fourth country in the world to do so), as early as 1924.
PRECHEZA a.s. exports more than 85 per cent of production abroad, half of these products being shipped to Western Europe and the remainder to North and Central America, Asia and Eastern Europe. The second most important materials forming part of the PRECHEZA inorganic pigment production activities are FEPREN® iron pigments.
The production and sale of flocculants made from copperas is under taken by the firm KEMIFLOC a.s., a joint-venture between PRECHEZA a.s. and the Scandinavian company Kemira Kemi.
The primary seller of PRECHEZA a.s. products is the AGROFERT HOLDING a.s. branch enterprise PRECOLOR, also located in Přerov.
PRETIOX ® TITANIUM DIOXIDE:- The most important and most widespread inorganic pigment, having a worldwide annual production of some 5 million tonnes. It possesses the greatest hiding power and lightening ability. This universal white pigment is used within industrial paints and plastics, in paper processing, in the leather and rubber industries, in the production of enamels, ceramics and cosmetics, in the food and pharmaceutical industries, in the production of man-made fibres as well as having uses in certain other applications.
FEPREN ® IRON PIGMENTS:- Available in red, black, brown, green, yellow and orange colours, these are manufactured from copperas, (an intermediate by-product formed during the production of titanium dioxide.) They are non-toxic, insoluble in water and are available in powder, granule or liquid form. They are used in the pigmentation of covering materials, sealants, plastics, glass and ceramics, man-made hides and artificial leathers, as well as rubber and paper. The most widespread application is in the building industry, during the production of prefabricated elements, concrete and baked roofing tiles, coloured cements, bricks and paving slabs.
MONOSAL 30:- An important intermediate by-product formed during the production of titanium dioxide, this is milled iron sulphate monohydrate which is used as an additive in livestock mineral fodder concentrates and mixtures. The cement industry also provides and additional outlet for this material where it is recognised that the monohydrate offers significant hygienic benefits towards the properties of the cement, (reducing the amount of six-valent chromium and therefore contributing to the prevention of chronic eczema development.)
HEPTASAL 18:- Iron sulphate, formed by thermal decomposition processes during red iron pigment production. Used as a chemical substance for the reprocessing of sewage and waste water, and as a treatment for some plants, grapevine being one classic example.
SULPHURIC ACID:- The basic inorganic chemical substance. Acid possessing a high purity which is suitable even for the textile and paper-processing industries.
PREGIPS:- A white industrial gypsum which is formed by the neutralisation of selected acidic waste waters. It is used as an additive in cements, and in the manufacture of plaster and associated binders.
PREGIPS H:- Manufactured as a basic fertiliser for agricultural crops in all soils and climatic conditions. Above all, this material is recommended for the fertilising of oleaginous (oil-bearing) plant crops such as winter rape, sunflower, poppy, mustard etc., crops demanding a high level of sulphur such as cereals, clover etc., and for fertilising vegetables, inparticular cole crops.
PRESTAB:- A rusty-ochre coloured industrial gypsum of semi-solid plastic consistance formed from a hydrated calcium sulphate. This material is non-flammable, non-corrosive, non-toxic and carries no detrimental threat to human health. As a result of its coverage and sealing properties, this product can be used for the technical recultivation of opencast coal mines, pits remaining after mineral mining, sludge deposits, or dump sites. Generally it is suitable for any terrestrial recultivation work including use as a bedding material during the construction of roads and motorways.
